Emergency Voice Communication Systems are fixed, monitored and maintained voice communication systems to assist with the orderly evacuation of disabled or mobility impaired people in an emergency. They enhance fire fighters’ communication with people in emergency refuge areas.
Due to many modern buildings being constructed from large amounts of steel, reception of personal radio sets is often affected. This is when Emergency Voice Communication Systems come into use. They are used in high rise buildings or large sites where radio communication cannot be guaranteed to work due to interference.
Our systems are designed with key components in mind, including but not limited to: an access strategy to confirm whether evacuation is required, auto-listening facilities to monitor activity in the refuge area, and the ability to reset the system as each disabled person is moved to safety.
All FSD systems are fully compliant with the EVAC system to BS5839-9 and BS9999.
